Latest Crit Up KB832483

Have just installed latest Microsoft Critical Update
KB832483 and, having restarted, am unable to access
internet (IE6). Have had to restore. Any ideas?
 
The MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) have to do with how a database
is accessed, not IE.
