I have a lastknown and lastknown.tmp directories, can I delete the
lastknown.tmp directory?

Where are these located? Are they directories or are they files?

They are directories located under the Windows directory, using Win
XP. I know the lastknown directory you need to do a LAst Known
Configuration, just wondering if I need the lastknown.tmp directory..

No, you can delete the one with the .tmp extension.
