last modified by field in bcm 2007

In Outlook 2007 Contacts found on a Public Folder automatically show data
that states when the contact was last modified and by who. It lives in the
bottom of the screen in the first contact tab.

Is there any way this can be done in BCM Business Contacts - it doesn't show
this field and I was wondering how it could be included.

It is very helpful to know when a contact was last updated and by who - it
confirms how old the data is and whether you can rely upon it.

I agree, R Cameron. I've been able to add the Modified By column but can't
find Modified Date for the contact record only.

When you're customizing the view and click on Fields to add/remove fields
from the grid, choose User Defined Fields in Folder for the Select Available
Fields From dropdown. That will show you the Modified By property and you
can add that to the grid. Now, choose All Journal Fields, and select
Modified from that group. That will display the last time a Communications
History item was added (or changed?) to the contact record.

HTH,
Lon

This is great but a couple of questions:

1. How do you save these changes - when I click Publish it asks me for a
file name? I want this to be the default for all contacts in my BCM is this
possible?

2. Will this data show up in a completed contact record? The form I am
editing is the New Contact screen?

Thanks

RC

I think we're doing two different things here... I'm modifying a view, like
the Phone List view in Business Contacts, and it looks like you're trying to
modify the contact form. I've never seen modifying the form work before in
BCM...

Is my analysis correct?
