Last known good configuration

I am having difficulties with my computer and want to go
back to a previous configuration. I have pressed F8 at
logon and have chosen the last Known good configuration
option but the computer just opens at today and doesn't
give me the option of the date I want to return to.

I know this can be done becuase I have done it before but
had someone talking me through the process. If you can
help can you provide very specific, simple instruction
for me.

Hi

To go back to a previous date, you need to use System restore. It's
available Programs>Accessories>System Tools. If you can't boot into Windows
normally, try Safe Mode after pressing F8.
