I posted this on Microsoft xp hardware and had no responses.and I am still
looking for help.
I installed the Microsoft laser mouse 6000 5.4 yesterday. Then I had

everyone who uses the 6000 mouse on XP has problems it is not a good
choice Logitech is trouble free.
