I have a Windows XP Professional system that is not hooked
up to the interent. I have never run any updates on it so
it's not even SP1. I want to buy a 250GB Hard drive but
I'm not sure if my computer will support that big of a
drive. I am not planning on upgrading this version of
Windows so is there any way to get my PC to see a 250 gigs
on one partition? Is there anything I should be aware of
before I make this purchase?

Thanks

You will need to install SP1 in order to get Windows to recognise the Large
Drive.

Hi, you might still find SP1 on many PC magazine cover CD's/DVD's......
