large disk weirdness(?)

Hi,
how can it happen that a W2K installation treats identical harddisks
(samsung sata 250GB) differently? One is recognized with the full size,
the other just with 128(?) GB.

Is that weird or does it have an easy explanation?

To add to your other post, I have never had a problem using a slipstreamed
win2k cd to install on large hd's.
I have in all cases however used this installation cd to partition the large
hd's. The full size has allways being recognised by the installation.
