I have a Toshiba Satellite, XP Home Edition, which does
not wake up from hibernate or standby when I lift the lid
open. I have set up power save options for it to do
this. I even enabled the keyboard wake up function.

How can I correct this problems?

You should call Toshiba tech support and see if this is a known issue
with that particular model laptop.
