Laptop Troubles

I purchased an Acer Aspire 1352 in October of 2003.

I have been experiencing difficulties with the screen as it no longer turns on. The computer itself turns on fine but the screen remains blank. Also the green "battery charging" indicator light is constantly on even when the charger is not plugged in.

I think it may be a motherboard problem.

My laptop is now out of warranty.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell how much it would cost to send it bak to Acer for repair/new motherboard?
Or would it be cheaper to get a new laptop?

I've tried to contact Acer about this but to no avail.

Any suggestions welcome

So, I'm not alone then!

I'm seriously tempted to get another laptop. A good quality one.

How much you are willing to spend? What is your requirement?
