Hi

I have a broadband connection and a router (for my laptop
and my PC).

Both the PC and the Laptop can access the internet fine.

But, how do i get my Laptop to get access to my PC? And
vice-a-versa?

I did this a few years ago and just put the network cable
from one to the other and they recognised one another and
a wizard started.... but because of the router they don't
automatically pick up on one another.

I searched XP help pages for ages but couldn't find out
what to do??? Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Cinabar

Run the Network Setup Wizard on each computer, and tell it that they
connect to the Internet through a residential gateway (router). It
will make all the necessary settings.

If you've installed a firewall program, make sure that it's configured
to allow access on your local area network.

Thanks for that...

I found a picture of exactly what i wanted... but that
was all it was... just a picture. I could even enlarge
the picture... real helpful.
