laptop problems

I am having trouble signing into hotmail from my laptop. I have Windows XP on
both my laptop and pc and have no problems with the pc. I also have been
experiencing problems with other internet programs such as Kodak Ofoto. AOL
is my ISP, and I cannot even contact their Help sites using the laptop.
Anyone ever hear of this? More importantly, what do I do to fix it?

If the problem is just Hotmail, I'd look at an MTU problem.
