I just recently bought a laptop. I also have a really nice desktop. Which one
should I use as my main computer. I am going to college and i am just
curious. I do pictures and music. all of that fun stuff. Which one should be
my main computer.

The laptop has
1.8 ghz pentium m prosscessor
80 gb hard drive
512 ram
XP Professional

The Desktop Has
3.2 GHZ HT Processor (pentium 4)
512 ram
160 GB Hard Drive
Windows XP Professional

I know this all may sound stupid. But i would just like some help.

Thanks

Which you use most depends on your needs.. nothing else.
If you need to use it as a portable, then the desktop will end up being a
secondary.
Truthfully - your best bet is to use them both - set them both up as
identical as possible - same applications, etc. Get them connected on the
same network and synchronize your files between them as often as possible.
Learn to use them correctly and it won't matter which is your
primary/secondary - just that you can use either.

Depending on your lifestyle...,the main benefit of a laptop is the
portability.Bottomline- use them according to your need.

Laptop.

You'll be taking notes in class with it.

Get rid of all the games and music to make room for your class notes,
research, etc.

I vote for laptop. Put all of the games, music on the desktop.

Many profs will not allow laptops in their classrooms. TabletPCs.. Maybe.
But laptops can be distracting.

Yep, it certainly does.

Thank you for all of you help. Except for one of the people. The laptop in
the class room is not a problem. The professors are not allowed to bann
laptops from their class rooms. Again thank you for your help
