Need to configure a Win 2k laptop for the boss of my company so that it can
seemlessly access the network and internet at the office, and his home
internet connection. His home connection is an ADSL line. The network at
our office is a relatively prmitive Win NT network that accesses the
internet through a firewall. How can i configure this system so that the
boss can connect at both locations and not change a thing each time he
connects? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

Wow, thats one I've been trying to figure out for a
while...I keep meaning to write a program for that in my
free time, but havent found any of that yet. I will have
to keep an eye on this thread !

The best way to do this is to make sure that the laptop uses DHCP. as long
as it uses DHCP, it should be fine. An alternative if DHCP is not available
is to use Windows XP Pro. XP allows you to have primary and alternate
network settings depending on your location. Stick with Pro if you need to
log on to a domain.
