Laptop fails to return from stand by or hibernation

I noticed very weird and annoying issue on 3 laptops i own... After
sometime, once system gets installed with many programs, my laptops fail
to return from hibernate or standby.... i get a black screen with
nothing on it... I have latest updated xp on dell inspiron 1100, 600m
and 9300...
Wouldanyone have any suggestion on how to fix it?
I searh online, found some useless microsoft posts and others, but
nothing worked yet....
share the wisdom if you know,

That is a bug in Windows XP, disable it is the best fix.

Hi there,
I had almost the same problem with my laptop, I suggest that you open your
laptop if you can and try to clean it from inside I mean the fan,
motherboard,cpu all around inside then you will see you won't have this
problem anymore good luck
