Laptop does not boot at all

Dell Inspiron 100

I try to boot up my laptop, it powers up, then about 15 seconds later it
just shuts off.

It went from booting to the initial XP Home screen (freezing)

Then I got this code 0X00000007B, (0XF9678640, 0X0000034, 0X00000000,
0X00000000) on a blue screen

The a black screen stating something like Failure to see hard drisk.

Any help welcome, is it HDD failure? Does this laptop have a factory reset>

Thanks - Daddio

It definitely sounds like a hardware problem. Have you called Dell? I would.

A "factory reset" will not help you since you have hardware failure.
Call Dell tech support for your hardware issues.

Or a battery problem, are you using a external power source
or the internal battery?
