Hi,
I have an IBM T40 laptop and all of my co-workers have the same Messenger
audio problem.
When I am doc'd the I can set the audio tuning wizzard to say that I am
using speakers (not setting the headphone button) this works fine and I hear
the audio test stream fine. (I want to use the built in speakers). This
enables echo cancelation which I want.
When un doc'd, using the audio wizard, the speakers only work if I set the
headphone button to on, disabling EC. If the headphone box is unchecked, I
hear no audio, if checked I hear it fine, but EC is disabled.
I suppose I can use headphones allways, but since the laptop has speakers, I
wanted to use them.
Any ideas?
Rick
