Laptop and desktop, how do I access outlook e-mail on both?

L have a laptop and desktop, how do I synchronise my email so I can access it
on both?
 
I used to have advanced mail settings to "leave message on server" and it
worked okay. I have just subscribed to "outlook live" and it's better
still. Now sync mail, contacts, calender and tasks. Not perfect but
better.
