language settings

i have a little problem my windows is in english all my
program are in english but when ever i go to do my
updates or simply to to the microsfot site it aitomaticly
directs me to a french site and i cannot change it back
to the english one

help would be greatly apreciated with this one

Hi,

Control Panel/Internet Options/General tab, click languages. Check that your
default settings here are correct.

Go to control panel and click the Regional and Language settings icon. You
don't say exactly where you are located. I would imagine France, as you keep
picking up french update site material.
At the bottom of the General tab in the Regional and Language options you
will see a section marked 'Location' If this is set to France or some other
french speaking country try setting it to United Kingdom and see if that
improves the situation. Remember to click Apply after you have changed the
location and also OK to exit. Obviously, the reason for the location is so
that xp can direct you to the right sites in the right language.
