problem with IE6.0 & Chinese

As of today, I am unable to type any Chinese (simplified)
characters on IE6.0 while before I was able to. The
language bar goes inactive whenever I'm in an active
browser window and only allows me to type in English. I
have the option selected to extend text services to other
programs, such as Notepad, which still allows me to type
in Chinese... Is there some option I have accidentally
disabled with some shortcut key?

Thanks...

master p, I do not have a solution, but may I suggest an experiment.
Please reconfigure your language bar for Chinese (simplified) only,
and see if you are able to type in Chinese with OE6.
If you are able, then add English as a secondary language, and check
the results. Please let us know your findings.

Good suggestion...yet still didn't change anything. Thanks
though for the thought.

I suppose you could uninstall the Asian language module, and then reinstall
it.
Also, it is always possible that some malware is causing this. Teenage
pranksters are spreading viruses that play with CD-ROM drawers, the Task
Manager, that turn the CRT display upside down...
A current virus scan and a spyware scan couldn't hurt. They are free.
