Language bar disappearing?

Hi there,

the language bar every now and then just disappears, requiring me to
manually tick the option 'turn off advanced text services' to bring it
back. Does the ctfmon.exe startup entry have anything to do with this?
MS office not installed. (was in the past). T

Sorry, I meant untick. (control panel > regional and language options >
languages > details > advanced)
