Language Bar - disabling it

Each time I reboot my workstation, the language bar reappears on my win xp
pro workstation. I've tried clicking the task bar => toolbars => language
bar, but each time I reboot, it reappears.

How do I get rid of it once and for all?

Thanks

Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages tab, Details
button, Language Bar button, and deselect its display.

1-- Click Start >> click Control Panel>> double click Date, time, Language
and Regional and Language Options >> Double click
On the Regional and Language Options.
Click on Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click
Details Button.
Under Preferences, click On Language Bar.
Deselect/Uncheck check box:
[ ] Show the Language bar on the desktop .

The lanuage bar can be "uninstalled" completely by running the following
command

regsvr32.exe /u /s msutb.dll

Elmo,

I have a different problem. Not sure if you can help.
I need to use chinese language and have 2 problems.
1) I tried following but cannot find the Language Bar button. I wish to
enable chinese / english language keyboard selection on my task bar.

Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages tab, Details
button, Language Bar button, and deselect its display.

2) I wish to switch regularly between english and chinese language but the
default language selection does not have chinese selection. I have chinese
fonts installed and am able to read chinese based websites.

Can you help me?

From the Desktop, press F1 to enter Help and Support. Type "Language
Bar" into the Search pane and one of the "hits" on the left will be
"Show the Language bar". That task explains the procedure, and has
links to IME and other helpful subjects. One listed in Related Topics
is "Add another Text Service". I suggest this source because I
personally know nothing of these services other than how to turn them off.

Start --> Control Panel --> Regional and Language Options --> Keyboards -->
Add/Change Keyboards --> Add a Chinese IME or Chinese Keyboard to your list

After you click okay to get out of the dialogues, you should see the
language bar appear. You can change keyboards by clicking on the language
bar OR by holding ALT and pressing SHIFT. Note that your current keyboard
setting can be changed separately for each application you're running.

We are seeing the language bar displayed for all users on Citrix Servers.
The servers are running MS Windows 2003 Server SP1, with Office 2003
installed. We have been successful in removing the language bar in the past,
but it keeps coming back, possibly after OS and Office patches are installed.
Will this command work for all users that already have existing profiles?

Thanks,
Brian
