What have I to do to install a Lan...I've not a "net" shown in Control
Panel...
Many thanks

A LAN usually consists of multiple computers, a switch, hub, or router, and
network cabling to connect everything together.
How about telling us what your goal or problem is rather than asking how to
install al LAN?

I'm asking about the software that have to be installed (or activated)
in Vista...(as TCP..that is installed....or what else ? )

Nothing has to be installed, it's all there by default for a standard TCP/IP
network.

Can anyone point me to a place that easily explains how to set up an FTP
server at home?

Thanks.

Not true, Network cards use device drivers too. That has to be in working
order first before you can have a working 'Local Area Network' (LAN)
connection.

You need a router/switch w/four ports or more, ether net cards for each PC
you want to connect to the network, Network cables used to connect the PC's
to the router/switch. All this comes with their own drivers. Follow the
directions for each piece of hardware. Vista is Plug and Play and will
install any other needed drivers when it detects the hardware.

With out in-depth info from you this is the best I can do. We are not mind
readers
