When connected in the activity (Local Area Network)
(blinking monitors )window I se the sent and received
packets (when I open that activity window).
How to change this so I can see sent and received bytes?

I'm sorry, but you can't change it. The authors of the driver program
for the network card decided whether to display bytes or packets when
they wrote the program.
