I have just bought and connected up a LAN enclosure.
I was going on the assumption that as it is connected the the NAT router it is as safe as sharing a HDD through windows.
Is this correct or does it have other vulnerabilities?
I have not password enabled the LAN HDD as it is a pain in the whatsit when you have to enter the password everytime you log in (and you have to do it through My computer or applications will not even identify the drive).
