LAN Connection Status

I am using a LAN, and i have a problem that is when i take status of my
internet connection it shows in Activity "Sent & Recieved" bytes in Millions,
how can i resolve this problem, Plz give me some guidance.

PERFMON
press enter

Note the 'Network" activity.
