Every time I start my computer it goes through a "LAN Check" be for it boots
up.
why is it doing that? I have to push Esc to bypass the LAN Check.

Thanks

Check youre BIOS,the option is available "boot to LAN",uncheck it...Or,boot
to xp cd,recovery,in recovery type:Fixboot Agree,type:CHKDSK C: /p
Type:EXIT Let xp start.

The first part of this answer is correct. Everything after the "Check youre
[sic] BIOS" bit is wrong.

The OP obviously has his computer's boot priority set to look for boot files
on the LAN first and nothing he could do with an XP disk will affect that.
