Lack of Function >> Address Bar

It seems that I have lost the functionality of my address bar. In the
past I was able to type in something like "digital camera" and the
address bar would use google.com provide the results of the search.
Now all I get is an THE PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED with this in the
address bar ->> http:///? digital camera. Tried searching for a
solution but could not find it. Can anyone help?

Greetings,

You may wish to check that you have enabled searching from the address bar.

To do this:

A) Open Internet Explorer.

B) Click on Tools, then Internet Options.

C) Click on the Advanced tab.

D) Scroll down until you observe the header, "Search from the Address bar".

E) Under the sub-header, "When searching", click on the "Just display search
results in main window" radio button.

The Just Display Results in Window was selected. Still getting the
same results as my orginal post.
