labels in Access 2000

Help, somebody! I cannot produce labels. I follow the
instructions for the label wizard; then when I push the
button to produce the labels, I am confronted with a
window that asks me for a "parameter value"
concerning "trim" (neither term is predicted in the
instructions or explained in any relevant way in Help).
Having no clue about what to do, if I enter something on
the window or if I cancel it, I get a label page full of
lines that say "Error." No use. What gives?

Often, when you receive an error regarding one of the common built-in
functions in Access, this is an indication of a problem with References. I
suggest you review the References Tips pages offered by Access MVPs Allen
