My system:-
MB ASUS A7V KT133
BIOS ASUS A7V ACPI BIOS Revision 1011
CPU AMD Athlon T-bird 1Gig
HD IBM 30Gig
OS WinXP Pro
The Problem is when I go into the BIOS and enable the L2 cache, WinXP
freezes right
after it boots.
I did a search and found out that by going into the registry and looking
under
hkey_local_machine/System/CurrentControlSet/Session Manager/Memory
Management
and DWORD secondleveldatacache, it is already set to 256, even though the L2
cache is
disabled in the bios.
Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
How can I tell if the L2 cache on the CPU is being utilized?
Thanks
