Hi Els,
This is due to a short circuit within the keyboard and is probably
damaged beyond repair. Keyboards do not cost much and you can probably get
a brand new one for less than £5 ($10)
The Windows key might be stuck, tap and wiggle the key and see if things
change. If you can't seem to get it fixed and if this is a desktop it
may be just as easy to replace the keyboard, they are very inexpensive,
most computer shops will sell you a used one for $5 or less! Brand new
they can be had for as little as $10.
To undo, have your daughter investigate retroactive abortion.
Otherwise, let her handle the discipline of her kid. It's her stuff
(per your claim) so now she gets to buy more stuff her kid has broken.
Unless the kid is very recently born, she should be used to this by now.
Since the kid obviously has physical access to the computer, she should
expect lots more damage to come. When you find an Undo button that can
be affixed to kids, please let the rest of us know where to find one,
too.
