Korean IME - Won't Run On XP

M

I am trying to install one of Microsoft's Korean language
IMEs (Input Method ... whatever) to permit me to input
Korean text.

I recently purchased a Dell computer running Windows XP.
It also came with Microsoft Office Small Business
Edition. The Microsoft update center lists two Korean
IMEs, one made for those with Office XP, and another made
for others.

Neither will load. The Office XP version tells me that I
don't really have Office XP, and the other simply tells
me that it won't run on my edition of Windows.

Help?

Did you try to change Reginal Settings? Go to the Control panel and load the "Asian language support". This will install the fonts necessary to display the Korean texts. After this, add Korean as one of the text input methods. Also make sure to turn the "extend the text support to other software (???)" options. If your PC didn't come with the extra language supports already loaded, it will ask you to put the OS CD to finish the installation. I use Korean as one of the input methods on my machines and they work fine. I run Office XP Pro and you can tell it to load Korean text support when you install it. Otherwise, the first time you open files with Korean texts, it will ask you to install the text support. Good luck I hope this helps.
