When I plug my kodak ds265 camera into any usb port it
shows up as a camera icon when I look at my computer. I
need it to show up as another drive (a removeable storage
device) so it can work with a third party software
correctly. My sony camera shows up as say an e: drive
and not a digital camera icon. Any suggestions?????

One suggestion - get a USB card reader. Now you can remove your card and use
it in that.

There were two reasons I bought a Kodak camera for my wife last year:

1. The docking station with its software was very easy.
2. The controls (with the joystick) were very easy.

With a docking station, pictures get off-loaded easily. I don't remember
whether I can access her card while in her computer with it.
