Knowing my io address FOR SURE

hi there
I have been trying to find out my ip adress but everytime i search it
the website comes up with a different IP address it is really anying me
as i want to remotely control my computer from another
Anyone now how to find it out for definate

Are you talking about over the public internet? If so look at using a
dynamic naming service like No-IP.com that maps a fully qualified domain
name (FQDN) to your ISP assigned IP address. I use a No-IP.com address to
call my home LAN all the time. Go to http://www.no-ip.com for details. Its
FREE by the way...

If your talking about your home LAN then see this page for help setting up a
static LAN IP address...

It's over a college connection to my home connection but everytime I
want to log in with my IP when XP prompts this I also get my IP wrong.
