KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED!!! BLAH!

N

Nik

I try to boot up and i get the blue screen of death:

Stop: 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xED4A1A59, 0x00000000,
0x00000028) KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I have searched through all the atricles about this blue
screen and still cant find one that matches the problem i
am having. I can boot into safe mode but i cant go any
further! When booting into normal mode the blue scrren
comes in after the graphical display not the balck and
white one.

Anyone with some help i would much apreciate it... email
me at (e-mail address removed) or aim me at jumpmanis1337

TIA!

Since you can boot into Safe Mode, your problem is
related to some driver or a some startup application.
Remove all non-essential cards (network, sound), then
try again. If this does not work, run a copy of msconfig.exe
(http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm) and disable
everything that can be disabled until you find the culprit.

Which safe mode do you boot into normally? Safe mode, safe mode w/net, safe
mode with cmd? If you can get into regualr safe mode fine then I would see
if you can find a copy of msconfig from Windows XP and clean boot the
machine. Most likley you have an application driver that is loading too
early. What was the last thing done to the machine before this started
happening?
