Kim Komando and MSSched

I heard Kim Komando talking about removing some programs from start up last week. She
referred to something called MS Sched. I came in midway into the discussion, so
probably missed something. I don't see anything like that it XP. Perhaps she was
referring to the scheduling tool in the System Admin area?

Who is Kim Komando and why does she want you to remove
programs from startup?

LOL ...............Kim Komando is a writer for popular mechanics magazine...
She has a syndicated radio show for novice computer users... Her mainstay is
pushing her advertisers products, and incomplete answers to callers
questions.
If you get a chance to listen to her show, do so, its a laugh a minute.

Her show is among the top 10 most popular shows on radio. Maybe light weight to some,
but sometimes informative and useful.

To the respondent who want to know why one would want to shutdown certain programs
before they start up, some mfg'ers try to start components to make sure they are
active even if you don't want them active. I believe RealPlayer is an example. In my
case, I'm looking for a way to stop two annoying warning messages from Symantec NAV
from greeting me every time I boot up. I have otherwise not found a way to prevent
these two unnecessary messages from appearing.
