kids computers networked to mine, but not to internet

I had my computer set up to be the server with the kids computers being the
guest computers. All run winxp. I'm using a powered usb router. I have
direcway satelite internet. Everything was fine untill I tried to network a
laptop that is running win98. It didn't work and I soon realized that I
needed to upgrade the laptop to winxp. After I disconnected the laptop, both
of the kids computers were not networked. I went back through the network
connection wizard and got them networked for file sharing, but they cannot
get on the internet. I know it somehow involves the host computer, but I
can't figure it out. I know I'm missing something that is probably simple.
Please help, the kids are driving me nuts with all the report for school and
needing to get on my computer.

You probably forgot to set Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
