Hello,
I recently applied all the new xp updates and updated my
driver. After doing so i could be on the internet for no
longer then 10 mins and would be kicked offline with my
dial up connection tring to reconnect. Ive tried removing
all hot-fix's changing all of the settings in my
modem/internet options. there are no idle time
disconnection settings on. Ive tried seeking help through
my isp (earthlink) and that recource is now exaushted. Ive
tried modem intitialization strings, changing #s i dial up
to reinstalling the software to connect to the internet.
updating/rolling back drivers. Coppied the network
connection from one computer that still works online to
the other. I had no problems until i updated XP. any
suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

I tried it and its still not letting me stay on more then
10 mins

Hi Chris,

System restore or a repair install. Good luck!

Hi Chris,

The only other time, I have seen this behavior, it was due to previous ISP
software, etc.

If, as you say there are not limitations under: IE/Tools/Internet Options/
Connections/Settings/Advanced, then I would lastly check here:

Start/Control Panel/Network Connections/Properties/Options: Idle time
before hanging up.

Good luck!

I tried it and its still not letting me stay on more then
10 mins
