Khost.exe error

I am useing windows 2000 Pro and at exactly the same time
(11 min 45 sec) after I turn on or reboot my computer I
get the message"khost.exe has generated errore and will be
shut down"

It's an annoyance mostly, but do I need it running? what
is khost for? I tried manually shutting it off
(cont+alt+del) when I booted and it didn't seem to be
needed. Duh.

Personally unless you have some good reason for it I'd delete it
