Keystroke slow compared to typing in Outlook 2007

I recently purchased a new computer. Vista OS. Also Office 2007. I noticed
that as I typed in Outlook 2007 (email) the cursor could not keep up to my
slow speed of typing. However when I was just typing in Word, I did not have
that problem. It appears that something is slowing down my actions while in
Outlook 2007.

Has anyone else noticed this? I uninstalled my Norton Utilities and that
did not solve the problem...

Thanks in advance.,
Frank

Why would my typing in Word by itself easily keep up while in Outlook (Word
Editor-- although it says HTML editor) the keystrokes are halted before
catching up. I have noticed that whenever I click an option in Outlook
there is a slight hestiation compared to the response I'm familiar with..

Can you explain why in Word alone, I don't have this hestiation, but in
Outlook I do? To answer your question on making a new profile, No I haven't.
Not sure how that helps me, and more importantly why Microsoft didn't
address this in their "readme.txt.

Thanks.
