Since upgrading to windows XP a few keys have revered, e.g. @ is now found on
Upper Case 2. " is now where the @ key is. Do I have to uninstall windows
XP and re-install, or is there a short cut. Help please before Ithrough this
computer out of the window.
 
Sounds like you need UK English.

Windows XP defaults to US English.

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional and Language Options |
Languages tab | Details button | Settings tab |

Or...

Start | Run | Type: intl.cpl | Click OK |
Languages tab | Details button | Settings tab |

Change to whatever version of English that you need.
