Keyboard shortcut to Quick Lauch taskbar?

Is there a way you can use the keyboard to get to icons on the quick launch
bar?

Grateful for advice.
 
Hit CTRL-ESC to bring up the start menu, hit ESC to close it, then hit tab
to move to the quick launch toolbar, then use the arrow keys to select the
icon you want, then use the space bar to launch the program.

On my machine, it's Ctrl+Esc, Esc, Tab, Tab, then arrows (since I have my
quick launch on the right side of the taskbar) - don't assume anything.

Also - if you have a Windows key, you can use it instead of the Ctrl+Esc
