What I would like is a simple keyboard shortcut to insert a *non-updating*
date in Microsoft Word 2007. What I do now is Insert Date by clicking on a
command item I placed on my my Quick Access Toolbar, then click on OK in the
Date and Time dialog window with the "Update automatically" box unchecked.
I know about the keyboard shortcut of Alt-Shift-D, but that inserts an
automatically updating date.
I am also aware of the sequence of Alt-Shift-D, Backspace, Ctrl-Shift-F9 to
accomplish this, but would like something simpler. There is a
*non-updating* date shortcut of Ctrl-; in Microsoft Excel which is very
handy in Excel; looking for something comparably simple in Word. Any
thoughts?
