Is there any way of bringing back to life a USB keyboard that stopped
working when my wife spilled tea into it? Would there be any point in
opening it up?

Strange as it sounds, the standard advice is to submerge the keyboard in a
bathtub full of water, let it dry out completely, then try it again.

However, note that you can buy a replacement USB keyboard for under $10 US.
If it were me, I would just buy a new one. But I'd also try the bathtub, and
if it worked, keep that one around as a spare.

HI, I recently spilt a full cup of coffee on my logi wireless
keyboard, and I took the key board facia of and washed it in the sink
in soapy water, the USB keyboard can be washed in the dish washer,
believe it or not, but you need to wrap the cable up
I have never tried this, but I read an article in my computer magazine
by a man who rebuilds computers and washes the keyboards this way and
claimed he has never had a failure

if anyone is going to dismantle their keyboard, be aware that logitech
put 3 or 4 screws under the keys as well as in the back, you can just
see them if you look carefully,

pop a screwdriver under the keys where the screws are and they just
pop of without damage (easy)

on the other hand, in the UK we have the usual computer fares and you
can buy a branded keyboard for £2.00
