keyboard problem

I keep getting an annoying problem with my keyboard - every so often when
I'm typing it misses characters out.
e.g. if I type 123456789, I might get 1369.
Its a Belkin cordless keyboard, I tried good quality replacement batteries
and rebooting. sometimes it runs for weeks without problems then haunts me
for a day then goes away again. Any advice welcome

Win XP home edition 3.4 dell dimension 9100, 2 gig ram

Try a wired keyboard for awhile to make sure the problem is with the
cordless unit.

Check to see that nothing is interfering (blocking) with the keyboard's
laser and your PC.
