keyboard now types " instead of @

For some reason my Acer 5612wlmi new laptop keyboard now types " instead of @
when I
press the Shift & @ keys.
Probably a simple solution but I cant figure it out.
Any ideas?

Hi

Try this:

Go into Control Panel>Regional and Language Options and make sure that all
three tabs and submenus are set correctly to:

English (United Kingdom)

You're set for the UK keyboard layout, and you're in the US. Change to the
US layout at Control Panel | Regional and Language Settings. On the
Languages tab, click Details, then go the Settings tab.

Alternatively, perhaps you're in the UK and you're set for the US.
