Keyboard not functioning

My keyboard is not working during bootup or when OS is loaded. I do
not get any errors when the keyboard is plug in, but no keys will
function. I can't even get into the bios by hitting the del key,
which is how I get into bios. When I unplug the keyboard it give me a
keyboard error during bootup. I have try swapping keyboard and the
keyboard works on other pc. I have tried a usb keyboard also and that
does not work either. When I plug in the usb keyboard the device
manager detechs the new hardware but but no keys will work. Is my
motherboard gone? I don't understand why it won't work on both the
ps2 and usb ports.

Are you sure you are plugging the PS2 keyboard into the
keyboard port (usually violet), and not the mouse port
(usually green)?

You can try the On-Screen Keyboard under All
Programs>Accessories>Accessibility if that helps you get into the software.

Maybe it was disabled for the user in device manager.
