Keyboard malfunction

I have a Dell desktop, Dimension E510. My USB keyboard functions during setup
and at DOS prompt but does not work after I boot to Windows. This only
started recently. I can't get pass the Windows login screen because I have a
password for my user name and I can't enter it.

Do you have the same problem with a wired (PS/2) keyboard?

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, my system does not have an input
for ps/2.

How about a different wired USB keyboard.

Try resetting the BIOS to defaults.
Hope it works.
