Hi!
Annoying problem coming up:
English version of XP with locale set to US but the
keyboard is Finnish -> Several programs translate the key
names into Finnish. Why? How to correct this without
changing the keyboard since the layout really is (and
needs to be in my case) Finnish? Some badly coded
programs (like game keyboard configurations) even have
predefined area where to fit the keyname and if
translation is longer than the english version then
sometimes nothing is displayed since it doesn't fit into
the field...
I.e. When some program is supposed to be displaying
something like "Press space to continue" it instead
shows "Press välilyönti [==space in Finnish] to
continue". If the language is English shouldn't the keys
like space, enter, backspace etc. be also in English?
Lots of large European companies use English versions of
Windows but have localized keyboards (even for foreigners
working in that company who might not understand the
local language) and I should think that someone has
encountered this before!
