Keyboard + IE

Everytime I use Internet Explorer my keyboard will not
work when typing into search boxes and address bar. It
works fine with every other application, even when IE is
running. Downloaded latest service pack but it hasn't
sloved problem.

I thought I had a virus, but none detected on my computer.
I would be gratefull for any ideas.
