Keyboard hangups

I am experiencing on Toshiba Satellite Notebook ( Windows XP) frequent keyboarf and/or pointing devices ( touch pad) hang ups... I would really appreciate an answer..

The first thing usually it to make sure the drivers are current. In
your case that would likely mean going to the Toshiba site and see if they
have new drivers for your computer's keyboard and pointing devices.

thanks for your answer. This is the problem. my drivers are apparently up to date, as well as the BIOS version ver. 1.50. Any other ideas???

Hmm,
as a test - how about plugging in an external mouse and keyboard
(borrow from a friend maybe?)
and see if the fault disappears...
